What is Dye-Sublimation?
Sub-li-what-now? Wonder no more! Dye sublimation is a high-tech printing process used mostly for print-on-demand products. Think… Branding, Novelty items, Personalized gifts, Home décor, Apparel, we will cover them all.
Let’s get technical.
First, a design is printed onto special papers specifically made for various types of products. The inks that are used turn into a gas when heat is applied, embedding the design into the product, rather than just laying it on top of the product like normal printing. It’s like a permanent product tattoo! Once it’s printed you can try as hard as you like, it won’t come off!
Although this might sound AWESOME, there are some cons. This process only plays well with synthetic products like polyester (or a poly-cotton blend), lycra, ceramics, polymer (plastic), glass, coated wood, enamel, metal, coated stone & more.
What is HTV - Heat Transfer Vinyl?
This is a specialty vinyl polymer (basically a cool sticky thing when heat is applied) that can be used on certain fabrics & materials to create some pretty cool designs. There are SO many options, glitter, holographic, glow in the dark, color changing, metallic, fluffy (yup, fluffy) & even Puffy! I kid you not! They come in a roll or sheet form with an adhesive backing, that can be cut & placed on a substrate (fancy word for material) for heat application.
These vinyls can be used in many different applications. Your artwork will depend on the quality of your file.
For just plain colors, huge range, we do require vector files, namely, eps, svg, cdr, ai. DO NOT send PSD files! Files can be uplaoded via www.wetransfer.com.If at any stage we feel your artwork is “not that great” (no offense) we do offer a full design service or free advice. The 1st 30 minutes design fee is FREE thereafter we charge a nominal fee of R250 per HOUR or pro rata.

How long does delivery take?
Some the products are made to order and can take up to 3 weeks to deliver.

What about Refunds?
You may contact us within 4 days if you are not happy with your purchase. We must receive the returned item within 10 days of the date of delivery in its original packaging and condition. No returns will be accepted for any products that are not sufficiently packaged, regardless of the reason for return. Once we are satisfied with the condition of the item, you will be refunded via your original method of payment.
Unfortunately we do not accept returns of sale items.
Shipping fees are non refundable.
Any shipping fees associated with making returns are the responsibility of the customer and will not be refunded.
If your product is damaged in any way on delivery, please notify us and send us images as proof within 4 days of delivery on info@cpdstudio.co.za so we may correct this as soon as possible.
No returns will be accepted for any products that are not sufficiently packaged, regardless of the reason for return. If any returned items are damaged during return transit due to obvious insufficient packaging, you may not qualify for a refund
Please note that certain items in our store are custom-made and non-refundable. You will see these applicable products on the specific products’ listing page(s).
Please note that should you use your own third party shipping company to further transport any product(s) already delivered to you by us to another address in South Africa or abroad, we are no longer responsible for any damages even if you notify us within the 10 days return policy unless you informed us of such damages BEFORE passing on the products to your courier company.
Therefore when using any third party shipping company or courier to further transport any product(s) abroad or in South Africa, all products MUST be checked for any damages once delivered by Oh Wow Decor before handing over to your third party courier in order for us to assist you with any exchanges or refunds. In Layman’s term’s: please give your transport company permission to open your packages on your behalf and confirm whether there is any damage before further transporting the packages for you.
